I like to use creative writing as a tool for my son to get him engaged and working his brain…

We try to start our day with a few things consistently. We do calendar, exercising, and circle time and we also include creative writing. With my son being as young as he is I let him illustrate the story. I have him narrate the story to me, which I then write below his image.

Prompts include:

March 2nd: Today is Read Across America Day. Tell us about your favorite book!

March 13th: Write about a hidden talent of yours!

March 17th: Make up a story about finding a pot of gold

March 29: If you were the teacher, what would you teach?

Here are our creative writing prompts for March!
