A Homeschool Mom’s Busy Book
As our homeschooling journey has progressed, I started to notice that my son has needed me to sit beside him more often and guide him through his lessons. However, he actually needs me to teach him far less often. I’m sitting there mostly to guide his work and keep him on task and occasionally help with a problem or two.
It’s kind of this awkward stage where it where I don’t know whether I should be sitting directly beside him and watching over his shoulder or I should walk away and let him do his own thing. The second I walk away though it seems like he’s calling me back over to help with something.
I wanted to create something that would allow me to sit beside him without making him feel like I was watching everything he was doing. I wanted something that would cultivate the feeling of independence, without walking too far away from him so I would be there if you need me.
So I created “A Homeschool Mom’s Busy Book” as a way to help me be there for my child without making him feel like I was observing him.
